There's no place like home for the Portola Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Saturday. They skirted past Chester  59-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory Portola has posted  since December 8, 2023.
 Portola's win  on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Liam Bowling, who  scored 14 points along with eight  assists and eight  rebounds. That's the first time this season that  Bowling  posted eight or more   assists. The team also got some help courtesy of  Connor Sheridan, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 11  rebounds.
 Portola's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Chester, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Portola will take on Plumas Charter at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Plumas Charter is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52  points per game. As for Chester, they will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Redding Christian at 6:30  p.m.
