After five games on the road, Moon Area is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Fox Chapel Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Moon Area was able to grind out a solid win over Pine-Richland, taking the game 62-50.
Meanwhile, Fox Chapel didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Seneca Valley on Friday, but they still walked away with a 54-50 win.
It was another big night for Will Siegel, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jefferson Moorefield-Brown, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Moon Area now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fox Chapel, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.
Moon Area couldn't quite finish off Fox Chapel in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 56-53. Thankfully for Moon Area, Kam Greil (who scored 24 points along with four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
