The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lindsay, who took down 639th ranked Corcoran, 26-6. Jacob Hernandez ran for 136 yards and caught one passes for 13 yards in the win.
The Cardinals extended the longest winning streak in East Sequoia this week by beating the Panthers, 26-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Jorge Ibarra was the best wideout in the league this week as Strathmore topped Granite Hills. Ibarra tallied one reception for 56 yards. Uriel Mejia helped Strathmore's passing attack out by catching two balls for 21 yards.
Fernando Gonzalez put up the best numbers through the air as the Grizzlies lost to the Spartans. He finished with five completions for 107 yards and one touchdown. Gonzalez's favorite target this week was Fernando Rodriguez, who caught two passes for 54 yards.
Anthony Anaya made the biggest impact on defense this week as Corcoran fell to Jesse Lira's team. The 6-foot-3 junior grabbed one sack.
Cody Styles was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 174 yards as Strathmore defeated Granite Hills. Teammate David Medina added to the ground attack by rushing for 53 yards.
David Coldiron's team's Gonzalez and Rodriguez have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading East Sequoia in both passing and receiving yards. Gonzalez has thrown for 876 yards this season, while Rodriguez has 26 catches for 346 yards. Jeromy Blackwell's team's Styles leads the league in rushing yards with 1454.
Kaleb Toone of the Rich Lane's team is only 15 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 122 carries Toone has accumulated 985 yard this year.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Spartans take on the Cardinals. Strathmore's offense has racked up 256 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Lindsay has allowed only 153 on the year.
