Kearney and Liberty North are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the pair will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. Hopefully Kearney focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Monday.
Last Monday, things could have been worse for Kearney, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-44 loss to Staley. Kearney has struggled against Staley recently, as their contest on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Brooke Paalhar, who scored 16 points. She scored a full 36.4% of Kearney's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Taylor, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, Liberty North took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They managed a 53-47 win over Raytown.
Kearney's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Liberty North, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
