Basketball Recap: Hampden Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hampden won the last time they faced Brewer and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hampden Broncos snuck past the Brewer Witches with a 50-44 win. Winning may never get old, but the Broncos sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Brewer lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Owen Fullerton, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Brydges, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 11 points.

Hampden pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Brewer, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-1.

Hampden will host Messalonskee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Messalonskee will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Hampden surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brewer, they will venture away from home to face off against Cony at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brewer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.
