The Fossil Ridge SaberCats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Prairie View 66-30 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Fossil Ridge has posted yet this season.
Fossil Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Smith led the charge by scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Lin, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Fossil Ridge and bumps their season record up to 8-7. As for Prairie View, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fossil Ridge will take on Fairview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Fairview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday. Prairie View won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Legacy is ranked 127th, while Prairie View is ranked 146th).
