Volleyball Recap: Liberty Wins Going Away Against Guyer

Liberty barely beat Guyer the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Redhawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redhawks.

Liberty never let Guyer on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22, 25-17.

Liberty's offense was headlined by Jaiden Harris and Maddie Lagrone, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Allison Tredwell and her 18 assists. Finally, Harris was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Guyer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will square off against Panther Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Guyer, they will challenge Colleyville Heritage on Thursday.
