The Edgemont Moguls came into Friday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 53-47 W over Newell on Friday. The victory was just what Edgemont needed coming off of a 47-19 defeat in their prior contest.
Keaton Darrow had an outrageously good game as he almost dropped a double-double on 32 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Morse, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Edgemont's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13. As for Newell, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgemont will take on the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Oelrichs is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Newell, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the at 6:00 p.m.
