After a string of three wins, the Seymour Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. The matchup between them and St. Paul Catholic wasn't particularly close, with Seymour falling 65-50. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Seymour has scored all season.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Indrit Peraj, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Peraj is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joey Carrafiello, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Seymour's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6. As for St. Paul Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Seymour will be playing in front of their home fans against Ansonia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ansonia has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 547 points over their last seven matches. As for St. Paul Catholic, they will head out on the road to challenge Kennedy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Paul Catholic is facing Kennedy at the right time seeing as Kennedy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
