Meanwhile, Tuscarora had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past North Hagerstown, posting a 66-30 victory at home. The win was just what Tuscarora needed coming off of a 65-31 loss in their prior match.
Laney Barton was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 21 points, nine rebounds, and 11 steals. Another player making a difference was Skylar Davis, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Governor Thomas Johnson's record is now 4-13. As for Tuscarora, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Governor Thomas Johnson have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Tuscarora struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.3 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
