The Purvis Tornadoes have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 62-50 to Forrest County Agricultural on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Purvis has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Purvis lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacoby Robinson. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Robinson hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Judd Gipson, who scored 11 points.
Purvis' defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Forrest County Agricultural, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purvis won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Columbia is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they will be playing at home against Sumrall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
