Higgins Hurricanes will take on the Abramson Commodores at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, L.W. Higgins was beaten by Slidell 67-34. While losing is never fun, L.W. Higgins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Slidell is ranked 105th).
Meanwhile, Abramson was the victim of a rough 57-37 loss at the hands of Pope John Paul II on Thursday.
L.W. Higgins' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Abramson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
L.W. Higgins ended up a good deal behind Abramson in their previous meeting back in January, losing 78-63. Can L.W. Higgins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
