Trinity Christian Academy had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points), and they went ahead and made it 13 on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 72-26 win over Natchez Trace Youth Academy at home. That 46 points margin sets a new team best for Trinity Christian Academy this season.
Trinity Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Campbell Vailes, who scored 23 points along with five assists and four steals. That's the first time this season that Vailes grabbed two or more steals. Lake Helton was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
University School of Jackson posted their biggest victory since December 13, 2023 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fayette Academy 68-32 at home. Given University School of Jackson's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Fayette Academy is ranked 303rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trinity Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for University School of Jackson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.
