After a string of three wins, the Crescent Loggers's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Neah Bay. Crescent has not had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, Crescent still got an impressive performance from Lukas Love, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds. Love has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Bourm, who scored 14 points.
Crescent's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-3. As for Neah Bay, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crescent will square off against the Bears at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Chief Kitsap Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Neah Bay, they will head out on the road to challenge the Chitwhins at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Taholah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Red Devils are ranked 115th).
