It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Dixie County Bears can now relate to. They suffered a tough 55-34 loss at the hands of the Indians on Monday. Dixie County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chiefland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laila Ingram, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Ingram has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Nyasia Bivins, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Dixie County and nudges their season record down to 11-6. As for Chiefland, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.
Dixie County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chiefland will face off against the Wildcats at TBD on Wednesday. Wildwood is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
