James Wood dropped their record down to 16-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Warren County Wildcats, falling 8-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Colonels couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Warren County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

For Warren County's part, Logan Patton was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

James Wood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warren County, they will take on Handley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
