The Landstown Eagles lost against the Kellam Knights back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Landstown was outmatched by Kellam on the road and fell 82-27. Landstown was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-4.
Kellam's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hope Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kate Spain, who scored 17 points.
Landstown bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Kellam, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Landstown will be playing at home against Green Run at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Green Run presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Landstown in Virginia (Green Run is ranked 72nd, while Landstown is ranked 282nd). As for Kellam, they will head out on the road to face off against Cox at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
