The Spring Hill Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Pine Tree Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Hill knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Pine Tree likes a good challenge.
Spring Hill is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Chapel Hill 23-4 on Tuesday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pine Tree lost 10-3 to Gilmer on Friday. The Pirates have struggled against the Buckeyes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Jasmine Byrd made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Rhi Black also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Spring Hill pushed their record up to 13-9-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pine Tree, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13-1.
Pine Tree's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Spring Hill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .407. It's a different story for Pine Tree, though, as they've only averaged .193. Will they be able to contain Spring Hill's hitters?
Spring Hill suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Pine Tree in their previous meeting on March 3rd. Can Spring Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
