Trinity Christian put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Monday. Everything went their way against Conotton Valley as Trinity Christian made off with a 65-42 win. Given Trinity Christian's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 48th in West Virginia, while the Rockets are ranked 668th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Toronto came up short against the Beavers on Thursday and fell 46-33. Toronto has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Toronto got a solid performance out of Ashton Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 21 rebounds. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Derrington, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Trinity Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Toronto, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
