South Vermillion is 2-8 against Riverton Parke since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wildcats will host the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. South Vermillion has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Monday just wasn't the day for South Vermillion's offense. They lost 14-0 to Terre Haute South Vigo on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since April 24th.

Karson Stark looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Collett Sanders was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Charlie Belcher, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Riverton Parke was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Attica only posted a batting average of .176.
Riverton Parke is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for South Vermillion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. South Vermillion has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Riverton Parke struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
