The Dixie County Bears will challenge the Bronson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixie County has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Things were looking good for Dixie County after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 13-3 to Crystal River. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dixie County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Skyliar Love, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Love has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Bronson had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over Chiefland on Monday.
Julianne Lampton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Madison Dean was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Meeks, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Bronson's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 3-5-1. As for Dixie County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Dixie County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bronson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Dixie County suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Bronson in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
