Softball Recap: Kermit Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Kermit entered their tilt with Presidio on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Blue Devils 20-11. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-4 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Isabella Urquidi, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Michaela Cazarin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.

Urquidi wasn't the only one making solid contact: Kermit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Kermit's record now sits at 12-10. As for Presidio, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-16.

Coming up, Kermit will venture away from home to challenge Alpine at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets will need to watch out since the Bucks have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matches. Presidio does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
