Meanwhile, Twin Valley South's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Brookville, falling 80-52. While losing is never fun, Twin Valley South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 749th, while Brookville is ranked 371st).
Madison's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Twin Valley South, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Madison was able to grind out a solid win over Twin Valley South in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 53-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Madison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
