Bonneville has gone 7-2 against Northridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lakers will square off against the Knights at 3:30 p.m. Northridge took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bonneville, who comes in off a win.
Bonneville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Roy on Thursday as they made off with a 14-4 win. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Peyton Johnson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Johnson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Samantha Mills, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Kaylee McAfee was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
Bonneville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.
Meanwhile, Northridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Bountiful, falling 19-3.
Kiersten Carbone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season.
Bonneville's record now sits at 5-12. As for Northridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
Bonneville couldn't quite get it done against Northridge in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 12-7. Can the Lakers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
