It was a good run, but the Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Boyd County 29-25. Chambers/Wheeler Central has struggled against Boyd County recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Renegades players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brianna Klabenes, who scored nine points.
Chambers/Wheeler Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8. As for Boyd County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
Chambers/Wheeler Central will head out on the road to take on Bloomfield on Friday. As for Boyd County, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against West Holt at 6:30 p.m. West Holt and Boyd County are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
