They took down Central 55-38. Given Arts' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Central is ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Michael Anderson and Malachi Thomas certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Anderson scored 14 points, while Thomas scored nine points. The game was Anderson's eighth in a row with at least ten points.
Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Arts' win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Arts will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Florida State University High School at 8:30 p.m. on January 12th. Florida State University High School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 320 points over their last five contests. As for Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Immaculate Conception at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
