The West Shore Wildcats won the last time they faced the Odyssey Charter School Titans, and things went their way on Wednesday too. West Shore came out on top in a nail-biter against the Titans and snuck past 33-31.
Talyssa Hilaire and Natalia DeJesus-Bruno certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Hilaire scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, while DeJesus-Bruno scored eight points along with five steals. DeJesus-Bruno has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Reese Florin, who scored seven points along with three steals.
West Shore's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Odyssey Charter School, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
West Shore will be playing at home against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Edward's is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Odyssey Charter School, they will challenge the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Merritt Island Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.
