Kaleb Pone Delivers Electric Effort Vs Spring Creek
Starting off the list is North Johnston's Kaleb Pone, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pone rushed for 198 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 105 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 127 rushing yards.
The victory (which was North Johnston's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Pone and North Johnston are on the road again on Friday to play Beddingfield at 7:00 p.m.

A Season-Best Performance from Austin Lewallen Leads Princeton over Eastern Wayne
On Friday, Princeton had to settle for second even though Austin Lewallen put up the best numbers he has all season. Lewallen rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
If history really does repeat itself, Lewallen might just drop another big game when he faces off against Goldsboro on Friday. When Lewallen last faced the Cougars back in October of 2023, he rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Traquin Watson put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He picked up a sack and made three total tackles. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making three total tackles.
If the past is any indication, Watson could be in store for another big game when he takes on Beddingfield on Friday. Watson picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss) the last time he and the Bruins duked it out back in October of 2023.
