The Denver South Ravens will venture away from home to take on the Vista PEAK Prep Bison at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Denver South will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Denver South barely beat Thomas Jefferson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Ravens blew past the Spartans 9-3 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Ravens, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

03/22/25 vs Mountain Range | 7 |
04/02/25 @ Sand Creek | 5 |

04/14/25 vs Golden | 3 |
Johnny Komarowsky made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andon Forster, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Henry Schoder, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Vista PEAK Prep posted their closest victory since April 30, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out George Washington 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bison.
Abel Salinas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Vista PEAK Prep is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Vista PEAK Prep's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Karter Robertson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Denver South's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Vista PEAK Prep, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Denver South has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Vista PEAK Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Denver South couldn't quite finish off Vista PEAK Prep when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can the Ravens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
