In what's become a running theme this season, the North Decatur Chargers gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Edinburgh 63-20 on the road. The win was familiar territory for North Decatur who now have seven in a row.
Ella Kunz continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Clare Kinker, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Edinburgh saw an underclassman step up: Kenna Streeval scored eight points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Edinburgh struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as North Decatur racked up nine assists.
North Decatur is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Edinburgh, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.
North Decatur will take on Milan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Milan is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Edinburgh, they will square off against South Decatur at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Decatur focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Tuesday.
