City of Life Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Talia St hilaire out in front who scored 18 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. St hilaire hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Wener, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Haylee Morelli, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 48.8% of Trinity Christian Academy's points, marking the 14th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alexis Marrero, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
City of Life Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Trinity Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.
City of Life Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against The First Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Foundation Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Foundation Academy's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Trinity Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
