Leland has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Glen Lake Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 691st, while the Lakers are ranked 144th).
Last Tuesday, Leland lost to the Portagers at home by a decisive 51-36 margin.
Meanwhile, Glen Lake put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They blew past Frankfort 57-30 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Glen Lake.
Glen Lake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Plamondon, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Cundiff, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Leland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Glen Lake, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3.
Leland was taken down by the Lakers 74-20 in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Plamondon, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
