James F. Byrnes had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Spartanburg on Thursday. The Rebels put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Rebels this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant James F. Byrnes was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-14.

James F. Byrnes' victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Spartanburg, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
