Basketball Recap: Tyler Cash Key Part of a Team Effort in Crusaders Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, Temple Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Grace Christian Warriors by a score of 60-53. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-41 back in November.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Temple Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Cash, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Cash has posted since back in December of 2023. Silas Walker was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Temple Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Grace Christian, they moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Temple Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ridgeview Christian at 5:45 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Grace Christian will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Regents at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Regents will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Grace Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
