Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Camino). They never let the Natomas Nighthawks get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
Oaklee Schwartz made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Claire Schwartz was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Sam Burgess, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
El Camino kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
