Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Charlotte). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 75-0 win over the McLaughlin Phoenix. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Fightin' Tarpons considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Charlotte didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Landon Perez, Noah Wooten, and Jude Kersnason picked up one apiece. Kersnason is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Perez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Charlotte now has a winning record of 5-4. As for McLaughlin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Charlotte is taking a road trip to challenge North Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for McLaughlin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Inlet Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes' defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so the Phoenix's offense will have their work cut out for them.
