The Woonsocket Villa Novans lost against the Classical Purples back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Woonsocket suffered a tough 75-54 defeat at the hands of Classical. Woonsocket has struggled against Classical recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Woonsocket lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jeriel Vazquez, who scored 11 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Delgado, who scored 16 points.
Woonsocket's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Classical, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woonsocket's homestand continues as they prepare to take on North Kingstown at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th. Classical will take on Westerly at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
