The Miller Buccaneers entered their tilt with the King Mustangs with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Miller walked away with a 47-39 victory over King on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Miller also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Leading Miller to victory were George Simmons and Corey Holmes. Simmons scored 15 points, while Holmes scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was Holmes' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Zamora, who scored four points.
Miller pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for King, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Miller will be home for the holidays to greet Corpus Christi Moody at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Corpus Christi Moody has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. King will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Sinton at 1:30 p.m. on December 29th.
