The contest between South Garner and Southeast Raleigh wasn't particularly close, with South Garner falling 70-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why South Garner lost, one person who can't be blamed is Najai Hines. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hines has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kai Muschette, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
South Garner's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for Southeast Raleigh, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.
