In what's become a running theme this season, the Chancellor Chargers gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 64-23 victory over Caroline. 64 seems to be a good number for Chancellor as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Chancellor got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lydia Brockelbank out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Brockelbank is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last nine games she's played. Kendall Scott was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six steals.
Chancellor pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Caroline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chancellor will take on Culpeper County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Culpeper County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Chancellor is ranked 80th). As for Caroline, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Courtland at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Courtland has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6.
