Blue Water Area recap October 29, 2013
Richmond added to the longest winning streak in Blue Water Area this week by beating Lutheran North, 36-33. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Algonac scaled the state rankings by moving to 440 from 471 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Muskrats climbed the ranks as a result of beating Memphis 35-14.
Armada's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Trevor Holston threw for 43 yards and Tyler Dame had 25 yards receiving. On the ground Michael Haller contributed 172 yards. Grant Grabowski helped Armada's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 18 yards.
Haller was a passing and rushing force as the Tigers lost to Marlette.
Holston put up the best numbers in passing as Armada lost to the Red Raiders.
Armada's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Holston has thrown for 509 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Sammy Matthews has 12 catches for 216 yards.
Almont took down Detroit Community 62-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
