After a string of three wins, The Pinnacle Timberwolves's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a serious blow against DSST: Montview, falling 71-36. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for The Pinnacle in their matchups with DSST: Montview: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, The Pinnacle saw an underclassman step up: Caleb Arellano scored 25 points along with six rebounds.
DSST: Montview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamrin Joyce out in front who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tara Majok, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds.
The Pinnacle's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for DSST: Montview, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
The Pinnacle will be playing at home against Englewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Englewood is ranked 251st, while The Pinnacle is ranked 260th). As for DSST: Montview, they will head out on the road to challenge Platte Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
