It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Lakeside Lancers can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 60-59 to the Lobos. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lakeside's loss came despite strong showings from Andrew Knudson and Maurice Turner. Knudson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds, while Turner almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Turner is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 12 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Dorseau, who scored seven points along with six assists.
Lakeside are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-17. As for Workman, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 20-9 record this season.
Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Workman, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-45 defeat vs. Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) on the 10th.
