Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Appalachian put the hurt on Jefferson Christian Academy with a sharp 14-1 win. Considering Appalachian has won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Appalachian pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Jefferson Christian Academy, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Appalachian beat Jefferson Christian Academy by a score of 11-0 later that day.
