The Calvert Senecas lost against the Crestview Knights back in October of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Calvert was outmatched by Crestview at home and fell 42-14. It was the first time this season that Calvert let down their fans at home.
Crestview found their leader in underclassman Braxton Leeth, who rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Leeth was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards. Another player making a difference was Bryson Penix, who rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown.
Calvert's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Crestview, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Calvert does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Crestview will head out on the road to face off against Lima Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lima Central Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
