Calaveras is 10-0 against Summerville since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Calaveras Red Hawks will look to defend their home court against the Summerville Bears at 7:15 p.m. Summerville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Calaveras, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Calaveras beat Bret Harte 50-46.
Calaveras' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Moser, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Moser hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Curran, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Summerville, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-40 loss to Sonora on Friday.
Calaveras' victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Summerville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Calaveras beat Summerville 65-58 in their previous meeting on January 5th. Will Calaveras repeat their success, or does Summerville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
