Softball Game Preview: Glide Wildcats vs. Pleasant Hill Billies

Glide and Pleasant Hill are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Billies at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Glide turned things around against Siuslaw on Tuesday. They blew past the Vikings 14-5. Considering the Wildcats have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Glide got a massive performance out of Samantha Moyers, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Moyers has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracelynn Schartz, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.

Glide was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are 8-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Hill made easy work of La Pine on Tuesday and carried off a 16-5 victory.

Glide's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Pleasant Hill, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.
