Anclote hasn't had much luck against Dunedin recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Sharks will head out to take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Anclote has given up an average of 17.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Anclote headed into their last matchup having not scored more than two runs for four straight, but Gibbs let them put that streak behind them. The Sharks were the clear victors by a 26-16 margin over the Gladiators on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Sharks as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Anclote let Rileigh Teague and Janelle Hammond run wild. Teague got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI, while Hammond got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four RBI gave Teague a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Keesha-Ann Rap'Er, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
Anclote always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .927. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Dunedin gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Canterbury, sneaking past 5-3. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Abby McLemore made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
McLemore wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Preston, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Dunedin's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Anclote, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-15.
Anclote suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to Dunedin when the teams last played back in February. Can the Sharks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
