Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Northwest W Comes Up Short

Indianapolis Northwest W and Tennessee Heat squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Indianapolis Northwest W had to settle for second. They fell 51-42 to Tennessee Heat.

Despite the loss, Indianapolis Northwest W saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josh Bowers dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. Bowers has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Finn Sempsrott was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 11 points along with five boards and four steals.

Indianapolis Northwest W's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Tennessee Heat, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-11.

Indianapolis Northwest W wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-57 victory against Bluegrass on the 20th. As for Tennessee Heat, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-56 win against HEA Firebirds HomeSchool on the 21st.
