Camden County is 2-8 against Currituck County since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Camden County Bruins will welcome the Currituck County Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Camden County's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over Pasquotank County. The win continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Cole Roberts was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, Camden County let Trot Pipkin and Brandon Davenport run wild. Pipkin scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while Davenport scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Pipkin a new career-high. Adam Gregory was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-4.
Currituck County never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Hertford County on Friday. Everything went their way against the Bears as they made off with a 16-0 victory. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.
Nash Mikkelsen made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mikkelsen was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.
In other pitching news, Riley Anderson looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Dom Espinoza, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dom Doran, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Currituck County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Camden County, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
